
18-year-old centre-back Logan Laird is on trial with West Ham from Stoke City according to EXWHUEmployee
In 2021 Laird put pen to paper on a two-year scholarship with Championship side Stoke City Football Club
Blandford-based Logan was part of Stoke’s Southampton International Cup-winning side for their youth side.
Logan is a 6ft 4 centre back also played for several local grassroots clubs and, prior to his Stoke move including Yeovil Town and Exeter City.
The defender originally from Exeter joined the Stoke Academy after leaving Exeter City as a 16-year-old.
The 6ft 4in left-footed centre-half is said to be excellent on the ball and good in the air. The Stoke website adds he is keen to learn and fitted well into the youth group.
The Academy coaches and Sporting Director Mark Noble will make a decision on whether to offer him a permanent contract at West Ham’s Academy during his trial period.
