Hammer Lucas Paqueta has changed his agents. His agent used to be Edouardo Uram from Brazil Soccer Sports Management. His new agents are unknown, nor is his motivation to change his representation post-season.
Earlier this year, fellow Hammer Gianluc Scamacca was dumped by his previous representatives World Soccer Agency in February, with the agents citing a breakdown in “trust”.
In April, the West Ham striker signed with the CAA Stellar agency and was photographed with new agents Jonathan Barnett (right) and David Lee.
His new agents insist their client wants to stay, but not everyone is convinced.
Last summer West Ham agreed to pay Lyon a guaranteed fee of €43m (£36.75m) for Paqueta with €17m (£14.5m) in add-ons in performance-related clauses meaning the cost could eventually reach £51.25m.
It would be a surprise if he wanted to move quite so quickly after just a year in the Premier League with West Ham but the news will worry many.
