Barometer – Burnley Week 28

Barometer

The barometer compares the home and away results of this season so far and compare them against the same fixtures last season, keeping a running total of whether we have achieved more or less points for the same games. The barometer then assumes that we will achieve the same results as last season for the remaining games and predicts our final points tally and approximate finishing league position. The fixtures are obviously not identical, so we replace the relegated teams with the promoted teams according to their finishing order; Burnley for Leicester, Sheff Utd for Leeds and Luton for Southampton.

Barometer – Everton Week 27

The recent winning run came to a halt during a terrible 45 minutes of football on Sunday. However, a point still pushed the barometer forward and it has now moved to 52 points, thanks to us losing the corresponding fixture (Leicester) last season. There continues to be opportunity to progress in the coming games. Although the next four fixtures are much more difficult than the previous four, just 3 points would match last season’s results.
