Chelsea (A) – The Full 6Foot2 Preview and Predictions

With Europe pretty much out of reach now, the last three games may well be the last three of Moyes tenure. I’ve seen a few Chelsea games recently and, while they were put to the sword by Arsenal, their performances have been pretty good.

So, we managed to beat our London rivals at home at the start of the season, in a game they should have buried us by half time, are we going to do the double and stick their blue flag where the sun don’t shine?

Our Predictions

Doddsy: 2-1 West Ham
Nigel: 2-1 West Ham

Pundit Predictions

Injury & Squad News

West Ham:
Nayef Aguerd remains out, while fitness tests are expected for Mavropanos (75% chance) and Earthy (50% chance).

Chelsea:
Injuries understood be ruling out Fofana, Lavia, Fernandez, Ugochukwu, James, Chukwuemeka, Chilwell, Gusto, Disasi, Sanchez & Silva. Late fitness tests expected for Nkunku, Colwill and Sterling with all three rated at 25% chance of playing.

Premier Form

West Ham: L-D-W-L-L-D
A 2-2 draw with Liverpool was not a bad result last time out, but the Hammers have slipped to 17th in the currently form table.

Chelsea: W-D-W-L-D-W
Chelsea beat Spurs 2-0 on Thursday and are one of the EPL’s most in form teams – 5th in the current form table.

Previous 6 Meetings At Stamford Bridge

Sep 22: Chelsea 2 West Ham 1
Apr 22: Chelsea 1 West Ham 0
Dec 20: Chelsea 3 West Ham 0
Nov 19: Chelsea 0 West Ham 1
Apr 19: Chelsea 2 West Ham 0
Apr 18: Chelsea 1 West Ham 1

What Results Do For West Ham

Win: A win would take us back above Chelsea into 8th.
Draw: A draw would see us maintain 9th spot, unless Bournemouth beat Arsenal today, then we would drop to 10th.
Lose: A loss ‘could’ see us fall to 11th, but only if Bournemouth beat Arsenal AND Wolves beat City. Perhaps more likely it will leave us 9th or 10th.
