A report by Mike Keegan writing for the Daily Mail has been completely played down by club insiders.
Keegan claimed David Moyes‘ future at West Ham is under serious threat following a row over recruitment suggesting that the West Ham manager may depart in the near future, leaving the Hammers searching for a manager ahead of the new season. He went on to say that “Tensions have been rising throughout the summer amid a difference in opinion on transfer targets between Moyes, new technical director Tim Steidten and co-owner David Sullivan.” adding “Those tensions have now reached breaking point with a feeling that the departure of Moyes or Steidten is inevitable”
A club insider was quick to point out that both men were at last night’s player awards at the Intercontinental Hotel, O2, and many witnessed them talking and joking with each other. West Ham’s board have no intention of replacing the manager before the season starts and equally sources close to David Moyes says he has no intention of walking away.
