David Moyes was coy over his team news in Belgium has he held his pre match press conference ahead of tonight’s gam against Gent in the Europa Conference League quarter final first leg.

Asked about team news and how strong a side he planned to put out the manager replied:

“I’m not going to give too much away but we’ve obviously got a lot of important games. I’m sure Gent have a lot of important games as well, it’s not just us. We’ve got a situation in the Premier League where we have to keep trying to win our games. But the chance to get through to a semi-final, we have to try and take every opportunity we can and I wouldn’t want to give that up easily.”

Gianluca Scamacca is not thought to have travelled and remains out injured with a knee problem for which he is receiving treatment.

With Arsenal this Sunday it remains to be seen what kind of team he deploys

Areola, Ben Johnson, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell, Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini, Maxwel Cornet, Flynn Downes seem the most obvious candidates for a start with maybe Divin Mubama

Maybe the final two places will see a return for Lucas Paqueta from injury with maybe Nayef Aguerd coming back in the centre of defence after being dropped last weekend.

“Paqueta got a bad knock against Newcastle, but he trained on Friday and we felt he might be okay but his ankle was just a bit too puffy,” said Moyes, as quoted by the official West Ham website.

“He’s trained again and we think he’ll be okay for tomorrow.”
