David Moyes must not lose Saturday’s away game against Fulham or is likely to face the sack.
West Ham’s board have been been extremely supportive of their manager up to now insisting he had credit in the bank after two great seasons saying he was just the kind of manager they would look to recruit if they were looking for a new manager. They have also complained that there are a lack of available realistic alternatives saying their replacement options are limited.
Last’s night’s heavy defeat has changed the board’s stance with the powers that be letting it be known that the manager is only guaranteed to be charge of the Hammers for the weekend’s game against Fulham.
A win against Fulham could give him a temporary stay of execution but his credit in the bank with the bank is already in overdraft. It is clear now he is on his final warning!
The board are reflecting on last night’s defeat and that will give them time to explore other options including temporary care taker options until the end of the season.
