David Moyes was asked what his game plan is for Southampton on Sunday as the Hammers return to Premier League action at the London Stadium.
Speaking to reporters at his pre-match match press conference at Rush Green on Friday afternoon the manager said West Ham needs to score goals and not concede with a completely straight face.
“We’ve got to score goals and not concede any. It’s simple. Concentrate on winning the game, the most important thing is to win the game. How we do that in many ways doesn’t matter. We’ve got to get those wins under our belt.”
Again this is not a late Aprils fools joke and what the manager really told reporters.
West Ham supporters will be worried that will mean another ultra-defensive setup tomorrow with the team set up to not concede.
A loss tomorrow for West Ham could see the London Stadium turn toxic and possibly turn on the manager and his tactics.
