Decision time for Jesse Lingard

With Saudi reports now dying now about Jesse Lingard he is now being linked to a move as a free agent to Turkey with Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray all said to be interested. The report suggests his agents have been offering his services to different Turkish clubs in a bid to land a deal.

The recent quote on social media by David Moyes on Jesse Lingard in the last few days came from the Athletic last Saturday so at least nine days old.

The recycled quote said, “Jesse’s doing quite well and he’s getting his shape back,” “But there will be no discussion on Jesse yet. When we’re ready, we will do; but he’s working hard and he’s shown a great attitude to his work.” “It’s taken a bit of time to get him back into condition.”  but these words were said before his behind closed doors game against Ipswich.

West Ham have until 2pm on Wednesday to register him as part of our 25-man Premier League squad.

Free agents can be signed by a club at any time during the season if they had been released by their previous club before the end of the transfer window. So as long as we have a spare squad place which we do, he can be signed at any time.

Any other changes to the squad list can only happen with the approval of the Premier League board, as per the Premier League handbook regulations.
