West Ham have finally received a second bid from Arsenal mid afternoon for Declan Rice which was immediately rejected.
The North London club made an offer of a £75m transfer fee plus £15m of addons bringing the total package to £90m.
The first offer had initially been widely reported at £80m plus £10m of extras but this was incorrect.
A club source revealed the first bid was in fact just £60m plus £15m of addons with a poor payment structure and add-on clauses that would difficult to receive.
Declan Rice will now go on three weeks holiday which could further prolong the sale of the West Ham captain.
West Ham insist they are in no rush to sell their star player and want to hold out for the best possible price hoping to flush out more clubs with higher bids.
Officially the valuation including add-ons remains at £120m
It appears this story will run and run!
