Former Hammer Jesse Lingard’s is in line to received a £1m bonus if Nottingham Forest survival in the Premier League
Lingard has not contributed a single league goal this season – a complete contrast to the sensational form he managed to find with West Ham while on loan the previous season. He has managed just 12 starts in the Premier League this season with a further 5 substitute appearances.
That Forest Lingard deal is said to have a basic of £80,000 per week, an appearance bonus of £20,000 per game plus £100,000 per week signing-on bonus, he is also reported to receive a £1m bonus if Forest stays up in the Premier League.
Lingard will be a free agent again this summer whatever happens to Nottingham Forest but the question is who would be prepared to offer big money for him with such a poor run in form this season.
A return to West Ham this summer seems unlikely for the 30-year-old.
