Mourners gathered yesterday for the funeral of Jacqueline Gold, who died last month from breast cancer aged just 62. The daughter of the former West Ham chairman David Gold was laid to rest at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.
Jacqueline inherited her love of West Ham from her father and, at one point, was appointed a director of West Ham during the pandemic.
Her husband Dan Cunningham, remains a director of West Ham, looking after the Gold family’s interest in the football club.
Among the West Ham club mourner at the memorial service yesterday were West Ham Vice-Chairman Karren Brady and Hammers manager David Moyes.
Her sister Vanessa who was at yesterday’s funeral yesterday is expected to take up her father’s seat on the West Ham board later this year.
6foot2 understands that the remaining members of the Gold family have no immediate plans to sell their shareholding in West Ham at this point.
