West Ham could sign former Chelsea and current Roma striker Tammy Abraham for £40m or £26.5m plus Gianluca Scamacca in a swap deal claims one Italian journalist
“(Tammy) Abraham? I would sell him. In football where there are no longer non-transferables, if a reasonable offer of at least €45m (£40m) arrives, the amount you paid for him is not non-transferable in my opinion,” Gianluca Piacentini of Rete Sport said on the Giallorossi.net ‘On Air’ podcast, reported by Sport Witness.
“The substitute? With that money in hand you can take another of that value there, if not higher. However, this discourse is valid for everyone, not just for Abraham. If West Ham offers me €30m + Scamacca, I’ll give him to them.”
West Ham paid £30.5m Italian Serie A side Sassuolo for Scamacca with another £5m of add-ons, a valuation of £13.2m would mean a loss of over £17m without the addons.
If we stay up we’ll need to pull out all the stops to have a chance of getting Tammy. But I think that Chelsea have a buy back option.
