Hammer Vladmir Coufal was missing last night’s Czech Republic 1-1 draw against Hungary. Tomas Soucek started the game but there was mystery over this fellow West Ham team Czech mate whereabouts.
Coufal played the full ninety minutes against Albana three days ago so was expected to start last night.
According to local reports in Czech Republic the West Ham defender had a small knock/small injury and he stayed in Czech for treatment and rest instead of travelling to Budapest.
Last week reports suggested talks have reopened with Vladimir Coufal on a new deal.
The West Ham right back who turned 31 last month has a contract until June 2025 after the club activated a one-year option last season. He will be almost 33 when his current contract ends so difficult to see him being offered a long-term deal.
The Czech right-back was signed from Slavia Prague for £5.4 million in 2021 initially on a three contract with a one-year option.
