West Ham will NOT be pursuing forward transfer targets of Folarin Balogun from Arsenal and/or Elye Wahi from French Ligue 1 club Montpellier this summer 6foot2 understands.
Earlier this week Arsenal turned down a formal offer from AS Monaco for Folarin Balogun with Inter Milan also holding a strong interest.
Balogun scored 21 goals for Reims last season while on loan from Arsenal but is unproven in the Premier League.
The Gunners are said to want a minimum of £40m plus add-ons and that valuation is considered too much by West Ham.
20-year-old forward Elye Wahi bagged 19 goals and six assists in 33 Ligue 1 games for Montpellier last season.
The French club want at least £30m plus add-ons for their striker and again West Ham do not think he offers value for money.
West Ham are looking for a striker after Gianluca Scamacca left earlier this week for a package worth up to £27m
