West Ham insiders have confirmed that six bids have been made in recent days as the Hammers look to add three more players in addition to Carlos Borges before the transfer window closes
The first bid was for Conor Gallagher, 6foot have been told the offer included a package of up to £40m.
Jacob Steinberg who writes for the Guardian and has contacts at both West Ham and Chelsea says the offer was made and rejected last week and the offer amounted to £37m plus £3m of add-ons. Other sources are less clear about the status of the offer and whether it has been formally rejected at this stage but it is rumoured a second offer of £42m has been or will be tabled.
The other known name is Scott McTominay, the Hammers have made an undisclosed bid for the Manchester United player but it does not meet the £45m being requested by the parent club and West Ham insiders have less optimistic that a compromise can be reached on price.
West Ham are thought to have another four bids in action at this time although the players have not been named.
James Ward Prowse and Edson Alvarez are the obvious candidates for two of them, maybe French left back Adrien Truffert and perhaps a centre back like Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen are the others but those are educated guesses.
