
James Ward Prowse has been given the rest of the week off to recover after suffering a knock in training on Monday, but he will return to Rush green next Monday and is expected to fit be for before the Hammers next game against Manchester City.
On Monday evening 6foot2 were told Ward Prowse had suffered a knock in training was due to have a scan on Tuesday but it was not thought to be serious, that medical scan was not required in the end with medical staff deciding he just needed to rest his knock.
The news will come as relief to many after the new signing from Southampton has scored and/or assisted in very game he has played for the Hammers.
The former Saints captain has set a record for the best start for a Hammer with three assists and one goal to his name from his first three games.
