West Ham Vice-Chairman Karren Brady has denied a Daily Mail story suggesting she was planning to put Betway sponsor on the London Stadium roof.
The Mail on Sunday article claims Brady has been talking openly about her desire to get a naming rights deal in place for years, and industry sources have told the Mail that a reconfigured Betway package is attractive to her. But the process may not be smooth.
Responding to 6foot2 this morning, Brady said the article was ‘Nonsense’ adding that had been ‘no discussions with Betway about London Stadium Naming Right’s and Stadium Naming rights were not West Ham’s to sell as If they were they would have been sold 10 years ago!”
West Ham has a clause to share naming rights revenue after the first £4m per season of sponsorship but as yet the London Legacy Development Corporation have been unsuccessful in selling that sponsorship package.
