West Ham will have to pay £85m to sign Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay in a double deal with Manchester United according to Sky Sports presenter Kaveh Solhekol.
Yesterday it emerged made two separate bids worth a combined £60m.for Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay thought to be worth £30m each separately.
Both offers were rejected with West Ham threatening to walk away in a take it or leave it approach.
The news that Manchester United want £85m for the pair will surely resolve the Hammers determination to walk away and pursue other targets.
The Manchester club have previously valued 26-year-old Scott McTominay at £45m suggesting that they would let 30-year-old Harry Maguire go for £40m.
Maguire has little to no resale value and comes with some heavy £170,000 per week wage demands while McTominay is claimed to earn a modest £80,000 per week.
It’s understood that manager Erik ten Hag is in no rush to offload the homegrown talent, but the Old Trafford club would be willing to do business if their asking price is met as they look to reinvest in new signings.
