David Moyes has confirmed that Gianluca Scamacca is out for at least two weeks and has hinted the striker could yet need surgery.
Speaking ahead of the mid week evening game against Newcastle United Moyes revealed that Hammer Gianluca Scamacca is out for two weeks with a knee injury “It’s roughly the same squad, the only news is Gianluca Scamacca has got two weeks rehabilitation on his knee. We don’t think it needs surgery but we will have to see how it goes.”
Scamacca was captured on Sky Sports video footage turning up for treatment on his knee at the London Stadium and immediately left the stadium after treatment under medical instructions to elevate his legs and wear a compression boot to aid recovery.
The news comes after it was revealed that Scamacca has signed with football agency CAA and Jonathan Barnett, the same agent that the Hammers had tussles with over Maxi Gomez.
