Injury & Squad News

Tonali is still suspended and Sven Botman has been added to the long term injury list, which also includes Nick Pope, Joelinton, Callum Wilson and Lewis Miley. Eddie Howe will also be sweating on late fitness tests for Kieran Trippier, Livramento & Harvey Barnes.

West Ham:
Alvarez is suspended for this game and Spurs, Cornet may be back in action after a hamstring injury and there will be a late fitness test for Kudus, who sustained a knee injury that led to him missing the international break.

Premier Form

Newcastle: W-D-L-W-L
Newcastle’s last result was a 3-2 away loss at Chelsea and while their form doesn’t look great on paper, their only 4 losses this year have been against big six sides in all competitions.

West Ham: L-W-W-D-D
Last time out was the VAR debacle and the 1-1 draw against Villa. The Hammers are on a four match unbeaten Premier League run.

Previous 6 Meetings At Newcastle

Feb 23: Newcastle 1 West Ham 1
Aug 21: Newcastle 2 West Ham 4
Apr 21: Newcastle 3 West Ham 2
Jul 20: Newcastle 2 West Ham 2
Dec 18: Newcastle 0 West Ham 3
Aug 17: Newcastle 3 West Ham 0

What Results Do For West Ham

Win: A win would take us level on points with Man United, a very unlikely win by 4 goals would see us go sixth. Also if Man Utd were to lose to Brentford later in the day, a four goal swing would also see us go sixth.
Draw: A draw would see us stay in seventh, but would mean only Brighton could overtake us this weekend, and they would have to win at Liverpool on Sunday.
Lose:  A loss would see us stay in seventh, but we could be overtaken if Wolves beat Villa away on Saturday and then again if Brighton win at Liverpool.
