Hammer Gianluca Scamacca has posted an update on his surgery after he went under the knife for a knee injury on Saturday.
Earlier this week, David Moyes revealed that his striker Gianluca was to have surgery on his injured knee, which he damaged while on international duty.
Moyes – commenting on the situation within the squad, said: “We are only just back so we are still getting ourselves together. Hopefully, everybody is okay. The only news is Gianluca Scamacca is due to have an operation on his knee tomorrow. “
Speaking from his hospital bed Scamacca said “Surgery done, no doubt I will come back stronger than before “
Scamacca is expected to be out for the remainder of the season for West Ham and questions remain whether he will still remain a West Ham player next season.
He changed agents last month to CAA and they are unlikely to earn any significant commission unless he moves again.
