Hammer Lucas Pacqueta is expected to resume full training this week after recovering from a foot injury but Gianluca Scamacca remains out with a knee injury.
David Moyes told reporters on why Paqueta was missing at Cravebn Cottage said “Lucas Paqueta got a knock in the game [against Newcastle] & he trained yesterday but he didn’t feel like he was right so I couldn’t take the chance with it. I don’t think it’s that bad. You probably remember the tackle he got against Newcastle & he has a swollen foot. He tried to train yesterday & did a bit but didn’t feel like it was right”
Meanwhile, Gianlucca Scamacca remains out of contention with a knee injury.
Last week Moyes revealed that Scamacca would be out for two weeks with a knee injury “It’s roughly the same squad, the only news is Gianluca Scamacca has got two weeks rehabilitation on his knee. We don’t think it needs surgery but we will have to see how it goes.”
That would mean it will miss both the Europa Conference League away trip to Belgium and the home game against Arsenal this Sunday,
