West Ham season ticket holder John Ratomski was presented with a Premier League award pitch side by former Hammer James Collins yesterday.
The ‘One of our own’ award is presented to supporters chosen by each Premier League club, John was also given the squad number 95 as part of his gift.
Ratomski is the founder of Irons Supporting Foodbanks project and is has worked tirelessly for many years serving the needs of the Newham country despite living in Cheshire.
This month they launched ‘bring a quid’ campaign encouraging West Ham 50,000 plus season ticket holders to drop a quid into a bucket on matchdays to help fund those less fortunate.
Last Friday West Ham fan YouTube channels, podcasters and bloggers came together for a 24 hour live stream fundraiser to raise over £1,000 for the Irons supporting foodbanks.
Speaking to 6foot2 after the Southampton game John said the award came as a complete surprise and he was very humbled by the pre match presentation.

How appropriate that I am wearing the T-Shirt John gave me last month when I was in the UK while reading this. Well done and highly deserved, sir.
