West Ham United Supporters Club has written to its members to warn that their on-going use of the Orbit Live (formally called Last drop or Podium bar) venue is now being questioned by the venue operators after two incidents involving member or guest behaviour.

The members revealed “someone decided to help themselves to some crisps and leave the premises without paying.  In the midst of them and their acquaintance trying to leave, a female member of staff tried to challenge them and was subject to assault by whilst trying to do so.” adding  “If this was you then please note that you are now barred from the venue and your Supporters‘ Club membership has been revoked.  The venue have photos of the people involved and also have the park security video footage.  The venue is now looking to make a complaint to the Police. Our on-going use of the venue is now being questioned by the venue operators.  As always, the actions of a minority, are going to spoil it for the majority. If you saw this happen or know who this was, then the venue and Committee would appreciate any information you can provide.”

The West Ham social club committee had previously written to members about the mis-use of Ladies toilets by stating “A request from the Committee!  We’ve said it before and we will say it again that we know there are insufficient male toilets upstairs but the Ladies is not to be used by men!!  We have had several complaints at the last two matches about men using the Ladies and we don’t want to have to put a security person on the Ladies door but we will if this continues!  We will be asking the security team to do periodic checks and if any men are found to be using the Ladies then they will be asked to leave the bar immediately.  Do it again and your membership will be cancelled (this applies if it is your guest too so make sure they are aware!) as we are getting fed up with getting the complaints!”

The venue is open this evening for the Newcastle game to members and guests with Doors Open – 4:00pm  BAR IS OPEN AFTER THE MATCH AND CLOSES AT 11:00PM
